Another sunny evening dance out, this time at the Borough Arms and sharing the evening with the lovely people of Tywardreath Morris – with some familiar faces from the Trigg side we danced with last week!
With Tywardreath starting off, we alternated dances, giving the audience some variety of styles and pace.
We ran through our repertoire, Bear Down Man, September 4th and Upton-upon-Severn which is nearly ready but needs a bit more rehearsal! We’ll be working on Upton and getting to grips with some new dances on rehearsal nights over the coming weeks.
We ended the evening with a Tinners’ Rabbit involving both sides and members of the audience, terrific fun and a great way of ending an evenings dance – I think we may steal the Tywardreath Morris dance off moves from that one! It is great how the musicians of both sides join in all the dances, swelling the sound and making the evenings truly a joint endeavour.
After the dancing was over we all got together for a few bevvies, lots of chat and a sing-song while the sun set over the car park.
This was also the first outing of our newly restored A-frame promoting ourselves and our sponsor.
A great evening shared with a really fun and friendly side.
