The Old Wainhouse Inn

The weather had been poor most of the day with splashes of rain into the late afternoon but in the end we had a clear evening. Somewhat chillier than we’ve been used to recently (ok for the dancers!) but we had a really good and enthusiastic crowd of watchers.

We followed our regular (for this year) programme with a Bear Down Man, musical interlude, Upton-upon-Seven, Cuckoo’s Nest, September 4th, Tinners’ Rabbit (twice, once with volunteers) and ending with a Boscastle Breakdown. The large, flat, carpark gave us ample room to put up several sets of most dances.

After the dancing we stood around outside for chips (thank you Old Wainhouse Inn!), drinks, chat and a bit of a sing whilst the clouds broke up and a beautiful sunset lit the sky. What a great evening.
