What a brilliant day in Bude – and I don’t just mean the weather which was suitably fabulous! Adding some extra rainbows and colours to our style we joined up with the gathering on the triangle and, after some jiggling of positions, we went off near the front of the parade, just behind the Mayor’s entourage.
Using our processional dance, with some funky extra moves and spins appropriate to the occasion, we marched through the town to the festival.
It turned out that the day’s host, Layla Zee Susan, has a long family association with Morris so we got a grand introduction and danced a September 4th and Bear Down Man in front of the crowd.
After that, we settled down to just enjoy the day, dancing along, relaxing in the sun and generally having a great time … what a brilliant day!
