Pentire Wassail

Our first dance out of 2024 was at the National Trust Pentire site where we have danced a couple of times before. This time we were supporting the wassail to ensure a good crop from the apple trees and plenty of cider in the coming year!

A cold, bright day with a good crowd so we danced September 4th, Cider Stomp (of course!), Bear Down Man, Upton-upon-Severn and a Tinners’ Rabbit followed by an audience participation Tinners’ for which we have an huge number of volunteers!

We followed the dancing with joining in at the wassail and then into the barn to sing more wassail songs led by Neil.
