Boscastle Harbour with Black Swan

A Sunday lunchtime out with Black Swan Border Morris was arranged for the day after the Tintagel Dark Gathering and we’re so glad it was. Dancing with Black Swan was a real pleasure, especially outside the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic (our sponsor) and with such a large audience.

It was a cold day but the rain held off until we’d done and the audience was treated to some excellent dancing from Black Swan and much of our own repretoire. We actually ended with a mass Cuckoo’s Nest which Black Swan played at a speed we had never tried before but we did our best to keep up!

This was also the day that our beast, Morsterren, returned to the harbour waters for the winter, to return next May and dance with us through the season. Our new banner was also unfurled for the first time!

After the dancing, we all went to the Cobweb for a drink and a sing before Black Swan had to head home [ our thanks to them for one of the most enjoyable dance outs of the season! What a great side, let’s hope we can dance together again in the future.
