We had a fabulous day out at the opening of the annual Polperro Festival with The Wad and Pensans Morris. The weather was set to be awful and it rained right up until we parked in Polperro, then bright sun all day until we climbed in the car to come home when the heavens opened again! The sun shines, so they say, on the righteous!
Dancing started at the Crumplhorn Inn then down in the town. Back to the Inn for a brief rest then leading the precession, following Trigg’ Trigger, back into town for the crowning of the Mock Mayor.
After a lunch break we danced outside Joan the Wad shop then two sessions at the inner and outer harbour. Despite there being three sides we still managed 15 dances on a day! Plus the walking between the Crumplehorn and harbour (around 750m) … tiring but we still managed to finish the day with a Cuckoo’s Nest!
