We attended the opening day of the Polperro Festival on a particularly sunny day. Although the Crumplehorn Inn was temporarily closed, we still met there with Pensans Morris and danced for three quarters of an hour or so to entertain people as they arrived in the area and walked past on their way to the village.
After leading the procession down to the village and watching the new Mayor being installed we danced again in the centre before moving to the Inner Harbour, via a stop-off at Joan the Wad, for more dancing. Frankly, due to the heat and the amount of walking, it was exhausting and a lot of our dancing was done ‘naked’.
The final section was some dances at the Outer Harbour before calling it a day.
