The Maltsters, 2026

A great dance out with Trigg Morris outside The Maltsters Arms in Chapel Amble. The rain held off but the wind was bitter so we were lucky to attract and keep a good crowd.

We performed six dances, all ones unique to Boscastle Border Morris – well, Bear Down Man is not our dance but still forms an add-on to our Ow Tevi so sort of counts! It is great to be able to show off dances that most people wont have seen before – many to tunes that are also unique to us.

Alternating dances with Trigg gave the audience a real variety of styles and at the end Trigg “taught” us one of their dances as a mass display – great fun.

Afterwards, it was into the pub to warm up, drink some and sing a lot. A wonderful evening with a great side.
